  • St James’ Welcomes Special Visitor from Kondoa

Building deeper ties with our friends in Kondoa

St James’ Primary School was delighted to welcome Conjesta, who travelled from Kondoa as part of her work with the Rochester Diocese and Sue Chalkly. Her visit offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen international links and deepen understanding of the shared mission between the two communities.

During her time at the school, Conjesta took the opportunity to tour classrooms, meet pupils, and speak with staff about the school’s ethos and daily life. She remarked on the calm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the school, noting how this reflected the strong values that underpin the St James’ community.

Conjesta was particularly impressed by the pupils’ engagement, highlighting how thoughtful and insightful their questions were during discussions. She praised their curiosity, respect, and genuine interest in learning about different cultures and global partnerships.

The visit was a meaningful reminder of the importance of international collaboration, helping pupils understand their role as members of a global community and strengthening ties with partner schools overseas.

St James’ looks forward to continuing this enriching connection with Kondoa and the Rochester Diocese.
