    The Centre Team works across all our schools, providing both support and constructive challenge to ensure each school performs to the highest possible standards, thereby delivering educational excellence for every child.

    Acting as a shared service for the Trust, the team enables consistency, efficiency, and best practice across all schools, while allowing leaders to focus on teaching and learning.

    The MAST Centre Team is a highly effective resource that supports our schools across a range of key operational and strategic areas, including Finance, Human Resources, Estates and Procurement.

    By centralising expertise and resources, the Centre Team delivers value for money, ensures strong governance and compliance, and promotes collaboration and continuous improvement across the Trust.

    Ben Hulme

    Ben Hulme is the Chief Executive Officer of the Medway Anglican Schools Trust. He provides strategic leadership across the Trust, working closely with school leaders, governors, and partners to ensure every child receives an excellent education rooted in strong values, inclusion, and opportunity. Ben is committed to developing high-quality schools where pupils, staff, and communities can thrive.

    Ben Hulme is the Chief Executive Officer of the Medway Anglican Schools Trust, where he leads the Trust’s strategic vision and operational development across its family of schools. He is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of educational provision, strengthening leadership at all levels, and creating a culture where every pupil can flourish academically, socially, and personally.

    Ben brings extensive experience in education and school leadership, having worked across a range of roles supporting school improvement, leadership development, and system collaboration. He is passionate about building strong, inclusive school communities and believes in the power of collaboration to secure sustainable improvement and excellence.

    Under his leadership, the Trust is committed to delivering high-quality education rooted in clear values, strong governance, and effective partnership. Ben works closely with headteachers, governors, staff, and wider stakeholders to ensure that schools are well-supported, forward-thinking, and responsive to the needs of their communities.

    He is particularly focused on developing leadership capacity, supporting staff development, and ensuring that every child—regardless of background—has access to the opportunities, support, and education they need to succeed.
